How Our Online Training Courses Work

Our one-on-one tutor–led interactive online training goes at precisely the pace required by each individual. It provides an opportunity to go over the learning content as often as required so every employee gets the optimum learning experience that’ll be retained and applied to keep your business safe and compliant. At a fraction of the cost and with limited management, our health and safety training doesn’t affect productivity, which means it is efficient and flexible.

Choose from food hygiene, fire safety, health and safety, health and social care or first aid training online with HL Training.

Our e-learning courses allow both individuals and businesses to purchase licences. You will be given either an Individual Licence log-in or be set up as an Administrator with a Business Licence log-in with control of multiple user licenses across all e-learning courses. If you purchase an Individual License, you will receive your own unique Username and Password. For business licences, each individual will receive a Business Administrator log-in and have access to all individual accounts within their business set-up.

After successfully completing our online training course, you will receive a link to your downloadable certificate. Certificates can also be verified online.

Benefits of Online Training

Online training provides many benefits that may otherwise be untapped with in-person training. Here are just a few examples of the benefits you could experience:

Online Training Courses Vs In-Person Training

Don’t worry if you have already invested in in-person training! Online training can actually be used to complement in-person training. As in-person training is normally the go-to option, many of our customers use in-person training as their initial training and then implement online training as a refresher. Online safety training can also be delivered in flexible sessions to suit individual or group needs. Our Emergency First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) course is a prime example of where you can take advantage of this.

At HL Training, we also offer in-person training. Why not take a look at our full range of training courses to upskill your staff today?

Internet Safety Tips for Online Learners

Staying safe online is essential for anyone participating in digital training. As the digital world continues to evolve, so do the potential risks associated with online learning. To protect yourself and your information, always verify the authenticity of any online resources or websites before engaging with them. This helps ensure you are accessing up to date and reliable materials, reducing the risk of encountering unsafe or misleading content.

When interacting online, remember never to share personal information or contact details with people you do not know. Keeping your devices and software up to date with the latest security updates is another crucial step in maintaining internet safety. Strong, unique passwords for each online account, along with two-factor authentication where available, add an extra layer of protection.

By following these essential internet safety tips, online learners can navigate the digital world with confidence, minimising risks and ensuring a safe online experience. Staying informed and cautious is key to making the most of your online course while keeping your information and wellbeing secure.

Online Abuse Prevention in Digital Training Environments

Creating a safe and supportive online learning environment is vital, especially when it comes to protecting children and young people from online abuse. In digital training settings, it is essential for schools, parents, and professionals to work together to safeguard children and support their wellbeing. Establishing clear guidelines for online behaviour and providing e safety training helps learners understand the key risks and how to respond if they encounter abuse.

Digital training platforms should include safety features such as moderation, monitoring, and easy-to-use reporting tools. These measures empower learners to seek help and ensure that any concerns are addressed promptly. Training courses for staff, foster carers, and social workers should cover best practice for recognising signs of online abuse and strategies for protecting children and young people.

By prioritising online abuse prevention, organisations demonstrate their responsibility to protect children and support pupils in the online world. With the right knowledge, resources, and support, we can create digital environments where all learners feel safe, valued, and able to develop the skills they need for a successful career and positive mental health.

FAQs

Q: What is online training for employees?

Online training offers a modern approach to learning. Online safety is a key area of online training, helping employees understand how to protect themselves and others in the digital world. An easier way to upskill your employees, online training courses provide access to learning resources whenever and wherever you need them. This means employees can take their training into their own hands and at a pace that suits them.

Implementing online training means trusting your employees to complete the course. You could ensure your staff complete their training by setting appropriate deadlines or blocking out time in the working day for your employees to complete the courses. This gives your employees time to complete the tasks involved in the training while ensuring the training is completed.

While the employer must pay for any mandatory training relevant to the employee’s job, the employer does not necessarily have to pay you for the time you spend on training. This is up to each employer.
