What Can I Expect from Forklift Operator Training?

When enrolling on any of our accredited forklift truck operator courses, you can expect to learn about the ins and outs of a forklift and how to operate it in accordance with the codes of practice. You will then be tested on your newfound knowledge through a practical test, theory test and pre-use check test. Once you have passed these tests, you will receive a nationally recognised certificate with the appropriate accreditation.

What qualifications do you need to be a forklift driver?

If you are interested in becoming a forklift driver, you should receive the appropriate training for the specific forklift you will be operating. At HL Training, we offer Basic/Novice training in a range of forklifts to ensure you are equipped with all the necessary skills needed to operate a forklift safely. How long does it take to do forklift training?

This depends on your level of experience. Basic/Novice training is our longest course and will take five days to complete. Experienced drivers will require three days of training. For forklift operators who are already trained but want to learn how to drive a different type of forklift, training will take two days. Our Refresher training is the shortest course, with a course length of one day. 

How much does it cost to train for forklift operation?
