AITT Accredited Forklift Instructor Training
HL Training’s forklift instructor training course is a 10-day AITT accredited programme. It will teach you the skills to share your knowledge and train others to operate counterbalance forklifts and other machinery. The course consists of two core components. The first part will ensure you are a capable forklift operator. The second will centre around training you to instruct others. The course is delivered by accredited trainers with years of experience. Our training team are well versed in operating forklifts and training, and have a wealth of knowledge to share in both areas.
Forklift Instructor Training Curriculum
Our AITT instructor training uses a comprehensive curriculum to ensure you are fully trained in all necessary areas. We will begin with the principles of operating a forklift truck. This will ensure you are qualified to operate forklifts and lift trucks in line with codes of practices. Following this, our team will share their training expertise working through the 9 elements which are assessed as the course progresses.

AITT Accreditation
The Association of Industrial Truck Trainers is a nationally recognised governing body of material handling equipment training. They are the fastest-growing accrediting body in the material handling equipment training sector. AITT are a non-profit organisation focused on maintaining the highest training standards for operators, tutors and examiners within the workplace transport and equipment handling industry.
Instructor Training Requirements
In order to attend the AITT forklift instructor training, you must have a basic operations certificate for counterbalance forklifts. This must be dated within twelves months of the course’s start date. If you are qualified with other machinery such as reach trucks, you can meet the course prerequisites with a counterbalance conversion course.
